Judi's House Response to Connecticut Tragedy

Supporting Children and Families During Times of Tragedy

Our hearts are broken, along with the rest of the nation, as we mourn the senseless loss of life in the small Connecticut community of Newtown. Our hearts are broken for the victims of the heinous shooting deaths in a public mall in Portland, Oregon. Our hearts are broken for those who continue to suffer from the traumatic events of July 20, 2012 in our own city of Aurora, and our community still feels the lasting effects of the devastating Columbine school shootings fourteen years ago.

The staff at Judi’s House would like to offer support and resources during this difficult time. We know nothing can take away the pain of grief, but we also know from a decade of providing grief support in our community that we can all help each other and our children find hope and healing in times of trauma and loss. We hope to offer some guidance in maintaining balance for yourself and your children during this most recent wave of national grief.
