Strength in the Face of Adversity Luncheon

Our annual Strength in the Face of Adversity Luncheon celebrates the incredible work being done by Judi’s House/ JAG Institute in support of grieving children and families. We are grateful to our friends and partners for making our work possible year over year.

Continued financial support is vital to advancing our Comprehensive Grief Care® to children and families in need. We routinely raise $800,000 to $900,000 through luncheon sponsorships and day-of donations. These gifts make it possible for as many as 375 children and 120 families to benefit from our Pathfinders grief counseling program.

Thank you to all the incredible members of our Judi’s House community, new and old, who contributed to making our 2024 luncheon so successful. With the support of our sponsors, pre-event donors, and individuals in attendance, we were able to raise nearly $850,000 to support our mission and vision. We are humbled by this outpouring of support and honored to be able to continue supporting grieving children and families in Colorado and beyond thanks to the generosity of so many.

This year, in addition to this fundraising accomplishment, we were able to honor two individuals who have provided steadfast support to uplift our mission for more than a decade, Dave and Sue Palmer, with the Healing Hand Award; and usher in a new era of leadership as Judi’s House CEO, Jessica Maitland Mayo, passed the torch to Judi’s House CCO, Dr. Micki Burns, who will assume the role officially in May of this year.

Thank you once again to our Honorary Event Co-Chairs, Heather and Steve Young, for their hard work and support leading up to this event, as well as our special guest speaker, Terrell Davis, for sharing his talents and story with us.
